How Can You Help WEGDR?
Below is a list of many ways in which you may help our rescue!
Become a foster home- to become a foster home, you need to submit an application. You may use our adoption application and enter "FOSTER HOME" in place of Animal Name. We will conduct a home visit and get you set up as a foster home for a Great Dane! Included in fostering is: a Dane, crate (if needed), food, medicines including monthly flea and heartworm meds, & vet care. You must provide the home, love, and be willing to make the Dane easily available for meet & greets.
Transport- many of our Danes come to us from outside of our local area. We are always in need of volunteers to make trips to pick up and bring these Danes in need to us. We will post on Facebook transport routes and times, please let us know if you can help! Or you may email us to be added to our volunteer call list. Please email WEGDR your name, location, phone number or email. (Transport miles are tax deductible!)
Walk For A Dog- the walk for a dog app is a fun & easy way to help raise money for WEGDR! Download the free app and set up your profile to get started. Every time you take a walk make sure to open the app on your smart phone and click "Start Walking." Its that easy!
iGive- Make a difference every time you shop for the things you want or need at over 1600 stores online! A percentage of what you spend is donated to us by the stores you shop with. Make sure to set up your account and start shopping!
Kuranda Beds- Kuranda beds has a great program where you can buy their beds at a discounted price and have them shipped directly to us! We already have a wish list set up for you to choose from to make it easy. Visit Kuranda, choose "South Carolina" > Waters Edge Rescue in Bonneau, SC, to get started. Your purchase will be tax deductible as well!
Amazon Wish List- We are always in need of particular items like dog beds, paper towels, clorox, collars, leashes, etc. We have set up an Amazon wish list where you are able to purchase items we have listed and have them sent directly to us.
